Qualified Laser Tattoo Removal Specialists, Melbourne

Looking for a tattoo removalist? At MJ Driver, all of our clinicians here in our Melbourne tattoo removal clinic are not only highly accredited, government licensed and certified laser professionals, but we have also undergone laser treatment ourselves.

This means that we can truly understand your predicament and relate to your needs, whether it’s lightening a tattoo for a cover up or a full laser tattoo removal.

Working in conjunction with your tattooer, we are able to provide our clients with the best possible outcome for cover ups, and quality results when it comes to laser tattoo removal.

Unlike other tattoo removal services, we are “tattoo enthusiasts” ourselves, and we pride ourselves on offering our customers honest, realistic laser tattoo removal treatment programs that are backed by the world’s top tattooists and medical practitioners.

With over 6 years of experience under our belts, we are one of the most experienced laser tattoo removal clinicians here in Melbourne and around Australia, focusing solely on the removal and fading of unwanted tattoos using only the gold standard in laser tattoo removal apparatus. We are also the only laser tattoo removal business in Australia (and only the 5th in the world) to use the brand new Focus PIQ04, right here in our Collingwood, Melbourne clinic!

Laser Clinician:  Meg Baker

My story starts when I first met Mike (MJ Driver founder/owner) nearly 10yrs ago in Melbourne.

Mike had traveled from Queensland to receive laser treatment himself, at that time there were very limited clinics offering laser tattoo removal. I’ve been beside him every step of the way. From our humble beginnings to where we are today!

Being absolutely obsessed with skin and dermatology I spent my time ensuring I was qualified to the highest possible standard with the government accreditation’s to match (QLD Health and radiation). Soon after i set up, managed and ran our flagship Gold Coast Location in Mermaid Beach.

Now days you’ll find me at Chapel Tattoo and our Collingwood location in Melbourne. Armed with the experience, skills and most importantly the educated knowledge to conduct safe, clinical and Medical Grade Laser Tattoo Removal treatments. We boast comfortable yet stylish environments using Australia’s most advanced equipment. Our point of difference? Providing realistic and caring advise about your options for the removal or lightening of your tattoo all the while working in conjunction with your tattooist for a broader spectrum of options if covering up your tattoo.

Feel free to stop by or email me for your free consult!    Meg x

Laser Clinician/Owner Director: Michael “Mike” Driver

I started having laser tattoo removal on my arm in 2006. I traveled around the country searching for the right laser and technician for the job. After struggling to feel comfortable in any of the places that treated my tattoos, I realised there needed to be a place where people could feel comfortable and confident they were in the right environment.

I researched what study and training was needed to become a licensed laser technician and over a period of time successfully completed all of the criteria set by Queensland Health.

I became obsessed with learning every facet of the process and strived to be the best laser tattoo removal technician in the country.

I opened the Brisbane location in July, 2011. After being open for just over a year I noticed a fair percentage of my clientele were traveling from interstate (mainly Sydney, Melbourne and Perth). I then opened in Sydney and Melbourne at the end of 2012.

In 2013 I traveled consistently between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne performing tattoo removal treatments, notching up 48 flights in the first half of the year. Quickly realising I couldn’t keep this up for much longer, I set out to find the best people to take the reigns of the Sydney and Melbourne and now Perth locations.
